Hey California Rainbow! I am Kamryn M., your Grand Recorder and Representative to Maryland and West Virginia for this centennial year. I am ecstatic to be serving as a part of the 2022 Milestone Making Meerkats!
Now a little about me. I have been in Rainbow for the last nine years, and I am an active member of Red Bluff Assembly. I have held every office in my assembly, except for Chaplain and Outer Observer. I have gone through the line countless times, and I would always do it again. Throughout my Rainbow career, I have been in Grand Choir twice, in 2015 and 2016. I was a Grand Confidential Helper at Grand Assembly 2018, where I also received my Grand Cross of Color. I was the Page to the GEC Secretary and Treasurer at Grand Assembly 2019 … who would have guessed that only a short two years later, I would be Grand Recorder and Representative to Maryland and West Virginia, and working with Mrs. Gewin again!!
I am currently a second year attending the University of Nevada, Reno, majoring in Neuroscience with a pre-med concentration and an analytical chemistry minor. I am also a member of Kappa Alpha Theta- the first greek lettered fraternity known among women. I try to be as active as I can on my school’s campus as well as in my sorority. I love being a part of service events, whether it is an event through the school to help with park cleanup or through my sorority collecting non-perishables for fire victims, I try never to miss events.
The last couple of fun facts about me: my favorite color is yellow. My office crayon’s color is Fire Truck Red, and I absolutely love food – my favorite is cheese and sushi. I will literally eat any kind of sushi, I am kind of obsessed, lol. I love spending my free time driving all over Redding and trying different Starbucks drinks, as well as Dutch Bros. drinks, let’s just say I spend too much time and money at both locations!
I cannot wait for this fantastic year to start, as well as beginning to make so many memories with my assembly, the 2022 Milestone Making Meerkats, and the rest of California Rainbow!
