Be a Daisy in a Field of Dandelions
By: Alexis S., Grand Nature and Rep. to MT/ND, Heart of the Valley
What does a daisy remind you of? Fields of sunshine, summers of happiness, radiating positivity? They remind me of these exact things and so does being a Rainbow Girl.
Being chosen to fill the office of Grand Nature and Representative to Montana & North Dakota is one of the best opportunities in life I have been given so far, the opportunity to share proudly my own experiences as a Rainbow Girl with California Rainbow is so special to my heart. I hope to use all that I can learn about this office one day in my future of becoming a Wedding Planner and helping others see their dreams come to life.
Some of my favorite things to do in Rainbow are planning events and volunteering to help others, and I hope to tie all of this into my future one day. Throughout High School, I loved volunteering my time with friends to help with the Kids Day newspaper and I was also a big part of the cheer team. Now in college, majoring in Business, I plan to use these skills one day to start my own business. I believe that Rainbow has set me on my path to be able to share my skills and love for helping others and planning events as a team. I love designing events and bringing others’ ideas to life, when I’m not working hard on homework I’m working at a small post office/gift shop in Fresno where I have worked for about three years and started when it used to be a pharmacy as well.
I was given this job opportunity while in high school helping out with the Cross-Age program that had high schoolers going to the local elementary school next door to work with the kids for their P.E. time where three of my younger siblings go to school. As you’ll see there is also someone here serving as a Grand Officer who looks just like me, yes we are Identical Twins!! Grand Fidelity is my twin sister and we were born 17 minutes apart with me being the firstborn. Although it may be difficult to tell us apart this year, once you get to know us our differences will shine through. Well, I guess that’s all, thank you for listening in!
This has been Alexis S., I hope to see you in the flower fields somewhere!
