Because of my leadership skills from Rainbow, I am a Past President of the Student Nurses Association at my Alma Mater, Hawaii Pacific University. I have helped build a Bariatric Surgical Program at a hospital in Florida, lead the local Cub Scout pack as the committee chair for three years, and was elected the PTA President at my children’s school. I have been a member of the San Diego County Peri-Operative Nurses Association serving on the Board of Directors for two years, as well as the Board Treasurer for two years. Without Rainbow, I would not have the organization skills necessary to help lead these groups and the people on them. I am thankful for Rainbow for giving me these life skills and helping to shape my life as a leader.
